The Wasp Knife Biological Weapon

World wide (HC)

The Wasp Knife is new biological weapon, which allegedly was designed to protect man against predators like sharks, bears or large game.

Once the knife makes contact with the flesh, a slight press of a button on the handle injects a small bead of compressed gas into its target. A deadly CO2 and/or biological gas then instantly freezes the internal organs.

Dave McGowan Murder/Suicide Case Re-opened

Cabazon - Indio, Calif (HC)

You may remember in 2005 when investigator Dave McGowan from the Riverside County DA’s office allegedly murdered his entire family, and then allegedly killed himself.

Surviving family members have always pleaded that law enforcement officials came to that conclusion too quickly.

Now the Riverside Sheriffs Departments cold case unit has learned that there is much more to this story than originally thought. Which may even involve conspiracies between high ranking government officials and a local Indian tribe. The FBI is also now involved.

There’s a very good possibility that McGowan never killed his family, then himself. He may have just gotten involved in an investigation that met to his demise before it's completion. My sources say Dave was a good city Cop, a good DA investigator and a good family man.

More here.

State of Georgia vs. Sheila Bryan-Accident or Murder

Omega, Georgia (HC)

Regarding this blog; it is our intent to always be fair and impartial with our posts. We are not DA or Cop bashers. As we have given credit where it's due. For example the DA in our 'Murder She Wrote' video documentary. Then more recently San Bernardino police officers.

Sheila Bryan has always been a well respected wife and mother of two. She was loved and respected by her neighbors, peers and her community.

On Aug 18th, 1996 Sheila and her 82-year-old mother Freda Weeks, were driving Sheila’s Mercury-Ford Cougar on a narrow highway. Either due to inattention or other distractions, Sheila’s vehicle veered to the right, and went off the side of the narrow road, and down into a ravine.

Sheila immediately checked on her mothers welfare, but there was no response. Sheila then attempted to shut her engine off, but the ignition switch would not comply. Leaving her engine running and her mother still in the car; she then exited her vehicle. She then climbed back up to road and screamed for someone to call an ambulance for her mother.

The first motorist stopped and called 911. He also attempted to check on her mothers welfare. However to their surprise, Sheila’s vehicle then started smoking, caught on fire and went into flames. Consequently they were unable to help her mother.

The police conducted their investigation. They were not able to find anything that contradicted Sheila’s statement. No bad relationships between Sheila and her mother. No criminal past nor doubt that Sheila’s reputation was blemished. No life insurance policy on her mother. Not even full coverage on her now burned and totaled vehicle.

Not one witnesses, not one statement and/or piece of evidence. Not even a motive. The police investigation found no evidence of foul play.

However since Freda Weeks did in fact die in this vehicle, they had an arson investigator further examine the vehicle. This arson investigator came to the conclusion that the fire started as a result of arson, do to an unknown "accelerant" and an "irregular burn pattern." Incidentally he was not able to advise what type of accelerant, nor prove there was one. It was just a theory and one mans opinion.

The first jury trial
Prosecutor J. David Miller took the case before a jury. The prosecutor had two prosecution experts testify that the fire was deliberately set (aka arson.) Regardless of the lack of any other evidence (other than another mans opinion,) the jury found Sheila guilty of both arson and murder. She was then sentenced to prison.

The appeal
After spending one year in State prison, the Georgia’s Supreme Court over turned the guilty verdict. However they stated that the DA may choose to retry Sheila in a second trial. The DA did in fact decide to retry Sheila again.

The second jury trial
Sheila hired a new defense attorney (probably a good idea.) This time they did the right thing. They conducted a defense investigation, and hired their own arson expert. Arson expert and scientist Dr. Gerald Hurst analyzed the entire case. He then rendered his own expert opinion that the fire was not deliberately set.

As a matter of fact thru a good investigation, the defense proved that the FORD Motor Company had just recalled thousands of ignitions switches in models similar to Sheila’s (remember she could not turn her ignition switch off as she left the vehicle running in a dry-brushed ravine.)

Dr. Hurst was also able to convey to the jurors what caused those alleged irregular burn patterns. That some of the vehicles interiors consisted of a flammable component that was consistent with the irregular burn patterns.

Dr Hurst performed many tests and learned that Sheila’s vehicle did in fact have a faulty ignition switch (the prosecution expert never examined the ignition switch. And testified that he didn’t even know what one looked like.)

Then these jurors heard something that the previous jurors did not. That one of the prosecutions arson experts (who previously testified,) had a major conflict of interest. His consulting company just prior to the first trial had just been hired by Ford Motor Company to examine possible faulty ignition switches. His opinion prompted Ford to recall thousands of these faulty switches. This expert had also been paid $150.000.00 by Ford Motor Co.

The good news is the jurors in the second trial acquitted Sheila of all charges.

Conclusion
This is why it is imperative that the accused always have a thorough and comprehensive investigation conducted on their behalf (especially for the wrongfully accused.) As we've said before, while the prosecution is always free of no charge; to defend ourselves is not. Lastly, a judicial system or jury that relies on the expert opinion of one man is certainly flawed.

Family Cleared in Death of JonBenet Ramsey

Boulder, Colorado (HC)

The tale of JonBenet Ramsey’s death keeps on telling. However thanks to another newly discovered DNA technology called a “touch” DNA analysis, the Ramsey family has been cleared of murdering their sweet little girl. Oh but it was 12 years too late.

In the mean time JonBenets' parents John & Patsy, and her brother Burke, were put thru a living hell on earth. The whole world judged them as guilty, as Mrs. Ramsey slowly died of cancer.

The police departments’ botched investigation stated the Ramsey’s family was just under an “umbrella of suspicion.” Fact is, the Police Dept and the earlier stage prosecutor Alex Hunter placed the Ramsey’s right into their cross hairs; and then passed their sniper scope into the critical lens and pens of the media.

We could only imagine that they hoped, that if the media would assassinate their character world wide; then they would buckle and roll on each other with confessions. This type of psychological intimidation didn’t work. Because they were innocent. Sadly though, many innocent people have succumbed to this type of malfeasance.

Thankfully just yesterday, the new Boulder County District Attorney Mary Lacy wrote the below letter of apology to Mr. Ramsey.

There’s a New Sheriff in Town (Orange County)

Orange County, Calif. (HC)

In Orange County there’s definitely a new Sheriff in town. The new Sheriff Sandra Hutchens has already proven herself to be more qualified and courageous than her predecessor Michael S Carona.

Formally Michael Carona had his own taxed paid security team, providing him with executive protection. And the Sheriff even had his own chauffeur.

But now the new appointed Sheriff - Sandra Hutchens has told her tax payers that she’s willing and able to do without. She can drive herself around without a chauffer or a security force. That makes sense, because regular patrol officers are in MUCH more danger than administrators; and they don’t have a chauffer and a full time security team with them.

According to one news source, Carona's security team gave him the code name of "Braveheart." Well Mr. Carona, it seems that Sandra has a brave heart.

The citizens of Orange County ought to be proud of Sandra Hutchens. Not only is she brave, she’s more qualified. After all she was an actual police officer prior to becoming the Orange Counties top Cop.

Not only was she an actual police officer, she was battled tested. Back in 1980 she had to shoot and kill an armed suspect.

Another news source advised that Sandra respected the wishes of her citizens. Most Orange County citizens want smaller government, lower taxes and fiscal responsibility with ‘their’ tax dollars. Sandra stated to the press “This is a really fiscally conservative county. I don't think it looks right for me to do that," [speaking of a chauffer and executive protection.]

Sandra when your interim term is up, perhaps you should put your name in the hat for the next election.

Thank you Sandra for bringing dignity, qualifications, and higher standards to the office of the Orange County Sheriff. Below is a video of another qualified braveheart lady with a gun.

Woman Shoots Herself, her Friend & Nearly a Mouse

Potter Valley, Calif. (HC)

A 43 year old woman was sitting inside her mobile home minding her own business. She was accompanied by her 42 year old male friend.

However a burglary suspect entered her home while she and her friend were still inside. What the suspect did not know, was the woman was a pistol packen mamma. She enjoyed her right to bear a firearm inside her home.

Once inside, the suspect ran from one side of her trailer to another. Some news reports allege the woman shot at the suspect. However based on more credible accounts, it is more likely that when she dropped her gun, a negligent discharge occurred.

The trajectory of the 44-caliber bullet was as follows. As the handgun struck the ground the bullet fired. The bullet then struck her knee cap going thru and thru. The bullet then stuck the male friends’ belt buckle, and then landed at rest inside his pants pocket (question is, was he wearing those pants?)

The suspect then fled the scene and was never to be seen again.

Usually when a suspect breaks in and enters while residences are still home, a 'point of entry' can be established. In this break-in, (even knowing there was two witnesses in close proximity,) the 'point of exit' could not be determined either. Why not? The suspect was a mouse.

News Break -This Just In! We have just received information that the mouse may not have been an actual suspect after all. An independent witness outside advised they observed the more probable suspect chasing the mouse. The real suspect was a louse. This witness advised this all occurred while he was playing the old folk song ‘Foo -bawoo- ba John.’ Here’s a portion of those lyrics. “Saw a flea kick a tree In the middle of the sea; Saw a louse chase a mouse from the kitchen-en to the house; Oh John-Oh John- Foo -bawoo- ba John.
Well – the first part of this post was true. For a similar mystery story ~

Police Officers Backwards Ammo Clip Raises Questions

Marble Falls, Texas (HC)

Since the nature of much of our work involves accusations, false accusations, offensives, and self defense; we thought this story was appropriate to post.

As our lead investigator has had the privilege of participating in; to a contributing author of the première magazine “Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement Whether it be the test firing of Remington ammunition outdoors, or engaging in 'force on force' shootings inside the SureFire Institute. However weapons and ammunition does no good without the following fundamental principles (including but not limited to.)

  • Weapons familiarization
  • Muscle memory retention.
  • The ability to perform 'weapons malfunction failure drills' under duress; but most importantly
  • SAFETY.

Having said that, here is the real story behind this post.

Today we received an email of a scanned front page story by the ‘River Cities Daily Tribune' out of Marble Falls, Texas. The article includes a photo of a police officer (above- click to enlarge) pointing an assault rifle.

But there are two serious problems with the photo (the second is inexcusable.)

1. The officer is not taking appropriate cover. She has exposed her upper torso (however there is a chance that photo was taken as she transitioned to do so.)
2. The police officers 30 round magazine (ammo clip) is placed into the rifles magazine port backwards.

Having a gun magazine in backwards means that the rifle could have only fired one round. Then the ammo clip would have either just remained in the magazine port useless; or it would have fallen to the ground rendering the officer and the rifle useless.

We considered that there’s a good possibility that this photo could have been altered, making this story just another urban email legend. Our lead investigator then contacted the staff writer of the mentioned article. Their writer Chris Porter confirmed that this photo is in fact authentic. Chris Porter gave us permission to post his email response.

“Hi Bill,
Believe me, you're not the first to ask about this photo. I didn't actually take it, though I did write the article right next to it. The photo was actually provided by a civilian who lived across the street from where the incident took place.

Long story short: Several Marble Falls police officers responded to a residence, where a man had barricaded himself inside with a gun. As you see, one of the officers jammed her ammo clip in the magazine port backwards. In talking to the police chief afterward, many other officers saw this and corrected her immediately, though by that time, the picture had already been taken.

None of the officers outside ever fired their weapons, so ultimately, there was no damage done. What's even more amazing is that our newspaper doesn't have a Web site, and this photo has made the rounds since October 2006. I've received literally dozens of calls.

So that's the story. [the end of his email was snipped.] Thanks Chris Porter”

Conclusion.
This tactical error could have very well gotten the other police officers killed, and/or innocent bystanders. Thankfully no shooting occurred, as the lives of others depended on this officer.

US Supreme Courts Decision on of “District of Columbia ET AL Vs. HELLER

US Supreme Courts Decision on of “HELLER vs the District of Columbia."

As a PI firm that specializes in criminal defense, which coincides with gun rights, weapons, civil rights, and self-defense; we are pleased with today’s United States Supreme Court decision.

Today the highest court in this great Country made their decision to overturn the decade’s old ban, that citizens in D.C. can not possess guns in their own homes.

The above photo was provided by the LA Times. It is a photo of David Heller signing autographs. David Heller ‘the plaintiff’ was just a cop. But now he’s one very powerful man. Filing a law suit that makes it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court is an accomplishment. However when the court rules in your favor that is big. I submit to all private investigator and security associations in this Nation, to consider having Heller as your key note speaker for your conferences.

The credit goes first to David Heller. Then to the MILLIONS of Americans (we the people) that have been in the forefront of our second amendment rights from the beginning. Then to the five United States Justices that ruled on the law, not on their own political agenda. And to the most prolific organization that has always been in the forefront of pro gun legislation; the NRA.
